Trunk or Treat!!

Could those beautiful brown eyes be any bigger?!

Our ward had a little trunk or treat tonight. It was good practice for Halloween. The kids had fun bobbing for donuts, munching on fresh popcorn, and of course, begging for candy (I mean trick or treating). When we were getting ready, and Logan was trying on his teeth, Ethan said the funniest thing. He said, "There's this great new thing. It's called toothpaste. You should try it." What a crazy kid! More pictures later when we carve our pumpkins and the actual Halloween night.

A Busted Birthday

Well today for my birthday, Colton got a cast. Sunday night he jumped off my lap, but twisted his foot. After that he wouldn't walk at ALL! So Monday, Carl took him to the dr. He said if he (Colton) still wouldn't walk today, than to go get an x-ray. Well it's a tiny little break. There has been so many other stresser this week that I would just like the rest of this day to be nice and quiet! (We went out for Carl's b-day, and he's going to cook dinner tonight!) 2 good things are that I got 100% on 2 hard tests today!! Yeah me! But poor little Coltie.

Surviving!

I just don't know how working moms do it! How do they work, clean house, do homework, cook dinner and everything else? I've been training for JetBlue for two weeks and I am barely getting by. I come home by 4:30 and feel like sleeping for the rest of the day. Luckily I only have 2 more weeks of this schedule, then I do two weeks of my work schedule up at the training center, then I get to do my work at home. I'm so excited. It is just crazy to see all that we've learned these two weeks. Who knows, if you call JetBlue to make a reservation, you could be talking to me! I really like my schedule too, I work Sat, Sun 2:30- 8:00, and Mon, Fri 6-12:00. I get Tue, Wed, Thurs off, and Carl will be home during my work hours to help with kids. I know it looks like I have no weekends, but I'll get Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years off because I won't be working those days. I just hope I can survive training!

Come fly with jetBlue!!

I got a job with JetBlue!!! I'll be working part-time from home on a computer they'll provide!! I (and my family) get free stand-by flights wherever they fly (can we say, "The Bahamas!!")and only pay taxes on other airlines. I start next Thursday and train for 6 weeks. I guess this weekend we'll be working out a babysitting schedule for the kids (I'm a little nervous about that). This is so exciting for us, we can have some extra money to pay for a bigger place (rent or own we haven't looked yet). I just can't wait to get out of this tiny apartment! I am so excited!!

This is us.

I've had a request to post some pictures of us..... so... here's our best.

Ok, so that's not our best! Carl was "Beth" from Dog the bounty hunter for Halloween last year, and never leave a camera in my hands when I'm bored! Here's some better ones.

I hate pictures of me, and since my kids are so cute, don't expect to see me too much!

Our Fall Family Tradition

Every fall when the leaves change color, we head to the mountains for a picnic and a walk around to see the leaves. We usually go to Mt. Nebo (south Utah Valley), but this year we went to go on the Alpine Loop (north U.V.). Well, it's always a guess when the leaves will be perfect; it's all depending on the weather and the water and stuff. When we went up, I think we found the only red tree to take a picture next to.

We decided to go up Squaw Peak which is on the other side of the canyon. Here's a view looking south into the valley with Utah Lake in the distance.

Lately, Colton is a one picture kid. If you don't get that perfect shot the first time, too bad, he's outta there!

It's so fun to have family traditions, it gives the kids something to look forward too. Fall is my absolute fav! I totally can't wait for October!! (my b-day and Halloween!!)

Super-suckered into Super Saturday

I like to make these little paint cans to fill with gifts for different things- usually babyshowers. Unfortunately my RS pres. saw one that I made and asked if I'd be willing to teach these on Super Saturday in October. So here are the ones we're going to do. The little ones are fun for neighbor treats. I've seen them used as halloween buckets, Easter baskets. I like the baby ones, then the family can use the bucket as a little time capsule for the baby and put in stuff from the hospital and baby's first year. I've never taught anyone how to make these. I hope they'll want to make them. I think they're fun!
