Farm Country

With the boys back in school, I'm trying to do some of the things I did with the older boys with Colton. Tuesday was another $2 Tuesday, so we went to Farm Country.

He was a little nervous to feed the goat, but he had fun.

He did not like the smell of the birds. Notice the double handed nose plug. Nice!

I love peacocks! My grandparents had them on the farm. I would love to collect the long feathers and bring them home.

Don't know why this one wanted to post crooked, but I love that Colton LOVES Jacksen.

Waiting for the pony ride for over an hour. You've got to do silly things to pass the time. Oreo eyes!

What is sweeter than a smile of a boy on a pony!

Well, hello!

Hopefully not Colton's future!

We had a great time together, and even though we had to do a lot of waiting, Colton had a super fun day!

First day of school

School started last Thursday. We are the "later gators" so we start at 9:15. Our school is divided in half. Some come early and do reading, then the later gators come, and the rest of the school work. Then the early birds go home, and the later gators do reading. I really like this set up, so they get more one-on-one reading. Logan was so excited, he was up and ready by 7:00!

3rd grade cutie!

Ethan excited to be at school all day!

Blessed, blessed site! Boys on their scooters, riding off into the sunrise!! It's nice that we live 4 blocks from the school. While the weather's still nice, they can go by themselves. Now it's only Colton and Jacksen at home. I'm trying to give Colton some more individual attention that he's desperately needing, as he's been acting out a lot lately.

August happenings

Earlier this month, we went to Idaho for my sister's baby shower. One of the nights, Logan and my dad were going to go backpacking. My dad loves to hike and backpack and as a new tradition, take the grandsons when they turn 8. Logan and Dad packed their packs, food, tent, and off they went. Dad says Logan didn't complain about the pack at all. They had lots of fun hiking, making their dinner and setting up the tent. Later that night, they noticed ash falling from the sky, there was a fire on the other mountain. (There had been lightning the day before.) Not wanting to risk safety, they came home that night.

All set to go!

Grandpa and Logan before the hike.

Clipboard I made for my mom.

Jacksen turned 6 months!! My sweet little guy. He's rolling over, eating some basic baby foods, and starting to babble.
Learning to sit, but still needs support.

Practicing his conversation skills.

"You don't say!"
Tuesday we went to the Dino museum at Thanksgiving Point. $2 Tuesdays have the whole valley coming. We stood in line for an hour.

A Utahraptor.

Dino eggs.

Digging for bones.

Triceratops. We had lots of fun, despite the massive amount of people. I'm going to Farm Country on this Tuesday, come join me!

The boys started school today (Can you hear the angels singing, "Hallelujah!!"). Pictures to come.

Random cuteness

Just some pictures of my sweeties.

Jacksen is always so curious of the camera.

Give me a wink Colton!

Logan loaded with tickets at Chuck E. Cheese.

Sweet watermelon

Caterpillar wranglin'
Colton's first Primary talk, on Temples. (In true Colton style, we had to bribe him not to throw a tantrum, because he wanted to "read" his talk like his brothers do.)

My baby's growing up!

Time for a haircut!

So Jacksen's hair is getting a little scraggly. It's time for a haircut. First, some crazy pics.

The Dwight Schrute
The Superman
The Conan O'Brien

The pretty pretty princess I'll never have. (I actually had Ethan fooled for a while that we had a new sister! After looking at him for a while he said, "Waaaaait, that's Jacksen!")

After. Ohhh, it's like it aged him. My little baby is growing up. Boo!

His little lock of hair for the scrappybook.
