Jacksen's Pictures

These are pictures of Jacksen at 3 weeks. My good friend Katie took them (I have her photo blog down below, check her pictures out- she's awesome!). I think he's added another chin and a few rolls since then. Luckily, he still has his beautiful hair.

Aren't these the cutest booties! I love these pictures soooo much. They grow up way too fast!

St. Patty's Day

Tuesday morning, the boy's woke up to find a note from some Leprachauns, telling them that they had left some gold. 10 pieces each, but not to be greedy, or the gold would disappear.

Ethan's loot. It's funny that the boys know that it's only chocolate, but don't care that it's not real gold. I guess chocolate is gold to them! For breakfast, we had green eggs and ham, green apple juice, and green toast.

For dinner we had green cheese sandwiches, gold soup, and green apples. Sorry Kass, I don't think my boys would go for corned beef and cabbage.
To the Irish and Irish at heart, Happy St. Patrick's Day.

Skating party

Monday night the boy's school had a skating party at the local rink. The boys have always wanted to go, so I finally gave in. Ethan only lasted 2 seconds in skates, he wouldn't let me show him how to work them, so we rented a scooter. Colton just wanted to stay by me, and somehow with all the noise, Jacksen just slept. They had so much fun, and it goes to show-you can take 4 boys out by yourself and have a good time.

Happy Birthday Ethan!!

My little man has turned 6!! Oh man, I'm getting old. Ethan has always been my happy kid. He's full of energy, which isn't always focused, but loves to be on the move. He's full of love, always giving me hugs and kisses and "I love you's." Ethan loves his brothers, is a little too sensitive, but has a big heart. He's a fast learner and very smart-when he can focus. I love this guy! Happy birthday, Brother!

Ethan had a little friend party on Saturday. They played musical chairs and "Autobots vs. Decepticons (ei. freeze tag)," he loves Transformers.

Jacksen's Garments

As members of the LDS faith, my husband and I wear white undergarments as a symbol of the commitments we made when we went to the temple. Logan has seen these and knows that when he goes to the temple, he will be required to wear these too. This morning, I was getting Jacksen dressed, while Logan was watching. I was putting on Jacksen's onsie, when he said, "How come Jacksen gets to wear garments, and I don't!" I did my best not to laugh too hard. I tried to explain it was just to help him keep warm, but Logan didn't seem to belive me.

Jacksen's Blessing

My little handsome guy! He's only been here 2 1/2 weeks, but he's left a mark on my heart forever. I don't know why, maybe it's the hormones, or lack of sleep, but when I think of Jacksen, I get all weepy. I just feel like he's got big plans for this world.

I've used this little jumper to bless all my boys in. They always looked so handsome.

Daddy gave a sweet blessing for Jacksen. I have some notes from it, that I'll write down in his scrapbook. I think it's important to keep these kind of things, so he can reflect on them later.

Proud grandparents. (fyi- my parents are by Carl, and Carl's are by me).

What a crazy bunch. We were so happy that Mom-mom and Pop-pop, and Auntie Brooke and Lauren, could join us on our big weekend. We love you all!!

Logan's baptism

Logan's birthday was in December, but he graciously waited to do his baptism until Jacksen's blessing so Carl's family could be there for both.

I am so proud of Logan for making this choice in his life. He knows the importance that this is for himself. We had a sweet little program, with talks about baptism and the Holy Ghost by his grandmothers.

Awwww, sweet family.

Afterwards, we had an ice cream party!!

The past 2 weeks

Have been crazy! The first day that I had all the boys to myself, Jacksen starts the morning with a shot of baby yellow poo all over his blanket and my arm. I knew things were going to be rough. I also have way sick kids. Logan only went to one day of school, and Ethan missed some too. Colton and Carl are also sick. It's hard to keep kids away from their new brother. They think I'm being mean, it's hard to explain that it's harder for babies to be sick than them. I understand, though, who wouldn't want to kiss this sweet face?

Carl breaking his fever.
I actually found time to make a nursing cover. It turned out alright, if I do say so myself.

And also bought a car, and sold a car. No more brown Jolly Roger for Carl. I love my van!! Life has been crazy, but we're getting the swing of it.
